Relevant Merchant Services Disclosures

This page sets out important disclosures relating to the merchant services we provide, including card payment processing, EPOS systems and related services. Please read this information carefully alongside your merchant agreement.

1. Regulatory status

Masters Rates Ltd T/A Tectah is registered with Mastercard and Visa as an Independent Sales Organisation (ISO). Masters Rates Ltd is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 911658). Payment processing services are provided in partnership with authorised acquiring banks and payment institutions.

2. Fees and pricing

Transaction fees, monthly service charges, terminal rental or purchase costs, and any early termination fees will be set out in your individual merchant agreement and pricing schedule. Fees may vary depending on card type, transaction volume and processing method (chip & PIN, contactless, online).
We will notify you in writing of any changes to fees or charges at least 30 days before they take effect.

3. Settlement of funds

Funds from processed transactions are typically settled to your nominated business bank account within 1–3 business days, subject to standard risk and fraud checks. Settlement timescales may vary for new merchant accounts or higher-risk transaction types.

4. Contract terms and cancellation

Merchant agreements are subject to a minimum contract term as set out in your agreement. Details of renewal terms, notice periods for cancellation, and any early termination charges are provided at the point of sale and within your contract documentation.

5. Chargebacks and disputes

Merchants are responsible for chargebacks arising from disputed, fraudulent or unauthorised transactions in accordance with card scheme rules. We will notify you promptly of any chargeback raised against your account and provide guidance on how to respond.

6. Data and PCI DSS compliance

All merchants processing card payments are required to maintain compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). We provide guidance and tools to support your compliance, but responsibility for maintaining compliant systems and processes rests with the merchant.
